Academic Merit Award

Academic Merit Awards are funded by a variety of scholarships, established by individuals and organizations to assist high achieving recent high school graduates with at least a 3.0 GPA (grade point average) on a 4.0 scale, as well as GED graduates who pass the state exam with a total score of 600 or above and a minimum of 165 on one sub- test. The student must attend SVCC the fall semester immediately following high school graduation or the semester immediately following receipt of the GED. Funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, by application submission date.
